Hardin is a director at Blackhill Partners, where he leads the firm’s global maritime industry practice in both healthy and distressed circumstances. In the last five years, he has advised private placements of debt and equity securities related to the maritime industry totaling more than $1.2 billion, and currently serves as an advisor to several private equity firms regarding their investment in maritime and related transportation infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Blackhill, Hardin founded HSB Capital Corp to provide strategic and financial advisory services primarily to maritime companies and their stakeholders.
He began his career as a Credit Products Analyst in the Global Corporate and Investment Banking division of Bank of America covering transportation, industrial and business services industry clients. Hardin subsequently worked for six years as a Senior Analyst and Portfolio Manager with a $7 billion institutional investment advisory firm primarily covering industrial, commodity and maritime industry investments.
